Sarafina smiled as Sarabi asked after Nala and the cubs - so much of her world enveloped in that one sentence. "They are well, thank you Sarabi. Nala is a wonderful mother, and the cubs are growing quickly although you know my daughter, she is not good at allowing herself time to rest." It was a trait which had only grown more apparent since she had become queen - Nala just wanted to get moving, when really she should have been giving herself time to recover from birth.
She did her best not to huff when Zira appeared. Had Sarabi invited her? Why? The former queen was insane, always going on about Scar and how the rest of the pride had painted him so badly as if she had not seen the damage he had done. Not to mention anything else. Still, her eyes narrowed and she offered little more than a nod of greeting. If Zira was here, the chances of things turning bad in this hunt only increased and she didn't really want to tempt fate.
Sabini came next, and her gaze once more softened as she chuffed out a greeting. Maybe things would go smoothly after all. There were several talented huntresses here and if Zira behaved she too was not one to be overlooked for skill. Finally, Udiri also joined them. So there were several young huntresses ready to start contibuting their part to the pride. That was a blessing in itself. Talk turned to potential prey - an older zebra who had recently been injured seemed like the perfect target.
"Well, it seems we have a target at least. Well done, there may even be lead huntress material in you." She tried to encourage the younger lioness in regards to the information she had brought. Of course, information wasn't all they needed but her hopes for this hunt was growing. She looked to Sarabi, waiting for guidance on what they would do now.
