She has seen the worst, and refuses to go there again - learning to fight, and to win, in order to ensure she'll never hurt that way again. She has a hard outer edge, a tendency to push people away, but once you get past this she's actually not a bad young lioness trying to do what is best for her and her sister. Signe is one of those with a huge level of loyalty to Zira. After all, the lioness took her under her wing when she had lost her mother and gave her a reason to fight on. While she wasn't overly fond of Scar, she hates to see the lioness who ruled at his side ousted as she has been. She was kept in the dens, hidden away to keep her safe, until she was big enough to be left with some of the other pride members. As an only cub she was spoiled, her mother doing all she could to sneak her extra food when she could. Unfortunately, this eventually led to her mother being killed - torn apart by the hyena as the cub watched from her hiding place, a tiny sibling at her side. All this meant was the cub had to toughen up. She had to bring the food to her sister, had to keep her safe... Then Zira found them. The cub shook before the queen, but was surprised to be offered sympathy. With the queen on side things started to look up. She grew up stronger and healthier than most, and swore to one day repay the queen for her kindness. Then Scar was killed, Simba swept in as king, and everything changed.
