the personality

Personality • When she was younger, Vitani was proud of being her father's daughter, and loved being with her brothers and being a part of the pride. Now, she's more withdrawn, though not in the presence of her brothers. There, she acts boldly often times tryign to take charge in her own way: but she's wary of other cubs and other adults. She may spit at other cubs or act out around other adults. She knows they didn't like her father, and she expects them to treat her similarly, so she's wary of trying. Not only that, but she's always wanting to do her best between her and Kovu. She feels stirrings of being looked over, even compared to Nuka - at least he was ever considered to be a heir. Not to mention, when she looks over at the king's daughter, she can't see why she couldn't also be considered to be a heir, and often  compares herself to Kiara.

History • Vitani was born in the pride, and is one of Scar's two only real children, though she's unaware of this fact. As far as she is aware, Kovu is her twin - and that only amplifies the rivarly she sees with him. Not that there is any bad will there - in fact, she loved competing with him even before Scar's death. Vitani loved her father too, though he paid... less attention to her. It was hard not to notice how he favored Kovu over her. But she would prove herself!

However, she never got a chance to before he died. Now, she's resentful of the rest of the Pride, and shrugs off instances to get involved with them: too scared of rejection and too angry at them for taking away her dad. Not to mention, her mother being as she is, also feeds heavily into her beliefs.
