She is a good, patient mother and an adoring grandmother who is proud of her family - even if she does worry about some of her daughters. But Sarafina is no pushover, not only does she have friends in powerful places but she is a skilled huntress and a ferocious fighter. In her younger days, she was well known for fighting off hyenas and some even believe she killed several of their number. A young Scar took quite a fancy to her from a young age, but like many of the others she only had eyes for Mufasa - the larger, bolder, brother. In time, however, she found her mate elsewhere in enter name here when/if adopted. Together they had 2 cubs - Nala and Mheetu - and looked forward to a peaceful life; a life which seemed lost when Scar took over the pride and times turned dark. Scar was not a good king - he brought the hyenas in, forced the lionesses to overhunt the prey, and eventually was cursed by the great kings resulting in a long drought. The pride seemed on the edge of collapse when Simba returned.
