the personality

Personality • Just like her father when he was her age. Kiara is very adventurous, outgoing and inquisitive. She can hold herself in the way expected of a Princess when around other people, but in private - around her friends and family. She's just like any other cub, playful, curious and always getting into fights with her younger brother Kion. Kiara is very kindhearted but there is a stubbornness about her. She's fiercely loyal friend but she it's not unknown for her to get a little frustrated and irritated with here closest friends. Whilst they would rather sharpen the nails, lounge around and do little to no work. Kiara finds it impossible to sit still for too long which gets her into trouble more often than not.
She's adores her parents and even though she does often bicker with Kion, she'd do anything for him and his friends - even Bunga. Selfless to a fault, even if she doesn't appear it at first. Kiara would do absolutely anything if it meant helping someone - anyone in need. She has a slight bias towards the outlanders and the hyenas, but she still acts courteous around them, even if she's judging and looking down at them when their back is turned. After all, if she's too be a good Queen she must treat everyone the way she would want to be treated - even if they want her and her family dead.

History • Nothing much that isn't already known. The first born cub to Simba and Nala, Kiara was born just after things went back to normal in the pridelands. She never knew of the state of the Pridelands during the rule of Scar. All she's ever known is a peaceful, beautiful land that she will one day rule. Her fathers story is well known throughout all the lands but her mothers is slightly less known. Kiara has a very strict upbringing - loving but strict with boundaries in place. She thinks her dad is being overbearing but she doesn't know of the horrible things that could wait if she went just a little too far off the beaten track. Whilst she follows these rules and does as she's told, it doesn't mean she's any less annoyed and the cub does often try and sneak off to explore a little father. She's yet to be successful in going far though as there's always someone nearby babysitting and watching over her like a hawk.

roleplay Sample

Maybe today would be the day. Kiara had managed to shake off Timon and Pumbaa yet again, it was funny how easily they got distracted when bugs were on offer. Her dad should really think about better babysitters if he was going to continue to insist on her being followed everywhere she went. She balanced on an overturned tree, watching the gazelle grazing. Behind her, Pride Rock was just a distant speck and ahead was darkness. She knew about Zira and the outsiders, but surely they couldn't be that dangerous, could they?

Kiara hopped down off the tree, dust kicking up around her. She was excited, a new adventure was so close she could just taste it. But there was still worry there, fear. What if it went wrong? Kiara took a deep breath and closed her eyes. One step, that was all she needed to do. Paw raised she was ready to slink forward when there was a shrill shout from behind her. The cub snapped her head around in the direction of the voice in time to see Zuri and Tifu prancing towards her. Her expression dropped and she pinned her ears back. Okay, maybe today wasn't actually going to be the day.

With a disappointed sigh, Kiara sprung back on top of the branch and settled on her haunches as she watched her friends draw closer.
