KISHINDO the basics Name• Kishindo Nicknames • Kishi Age • Older Teen Gender • Female Sexuality • Closeted Homosexual Pride/Pack • Pridelands Alliance • Torn between Simba and Zira Position • Huntress Other • Though her official rank is as a huntress, she is a powerful lioness who knows how to kill with incredible precision, so she often shadows the pride's warriors, helping them if a fight breaks out and they need all hands on deck, so to speak. She can take down a male lion by herself, not using strength but rather being smart, patient and observant, she can study an enemy in seconds and knows just where the weak points are depending on the animal. So though she plays dumb when relaxing with the pride, she's actually really intelligent and is an expert hunter and fighter. the appearance Species • African Lioness Eye Colour • Blue Markings & Scars • Little spot-like freckles in her coat, mostly on her face and hips, some on her legs and paws Height • Below Average (3 ft 2in at the shoulder) Weight • Below Average (190 lbs) Voice Actor • Krizia Bajos Basic Appearance • Dark mahogany coat with warm tan undersides and toes, coat is super scruffy including a patch of hair on her head and the tips of her ears and elbows, tail is actually two tone with a dark brown base and a more reddish tip to it, dark/dull blue eyes, covered in freckles that are NOT cub spots including three large spots on each side of her muzzle, smaller than your average lioness, covered in sleek lean muscle, she can move SUPER fast and relies on patience and strategy to win fights and take down prey rather than just charging in and trying to push her opponents around, claws are always out, canine teeth are a bit over-sized and stick out of her mouth even when her mouth is closed, has a c-shaped section of her tongue missing the personality Personality • Though she is notably undersized for her age, Kishi is still not someone that you want to take lightly. She is tough and tenacious with a calm attitude, she does not really fear much of anything and is confident in herself and her own abilities. Usually, the problems arise when she is dealing with her pridemates. Though she is level-headed and more intelligent than she seems to ever show, Kishi is at her core an introvert, so she prefers small groups of lions that she can trust and tends to get nervous and clam up when she is in a group of strangers or if the group gets too large. She's very personable, preferring to talk to others one on one, rather than trying to talk over each other in a heated debate. She is brave and foolish and will not back down from a challenge no matter what, but, though she is willing to fight for what is right, generally she prefers the quiet life, lazing in the grass or curled up on a cool rock. She has some psychological problems that make sleeping difficult, so she gets her rest in whenever she can, usually by passing out in the middle of things, she can even fall asleep standing up. But usually she is only down for a half hour at the most before nightmares and trauma from her past return to wake her up again. To her credit, she does not look or act like someone who is sleep deprived, but those who know her well know when it's time for Kishi to take a nap. She tends to get a little snippy when she is tired, but she's easy to wake up as well, always sleeping very lightly. So if trouble is afoot, she can and will leap up and do her best to help, she is an incredible hunter and fighter, very detail-oriented and able to read her opponents like pages in a book. She is incredible in battle but sometimes her small size is a problem. (Just a personal note: She's a Taurus so she is responsible, dependable, loyal, but also stubborn, overly critical and a bit obsessive when she wants something, very goal oriented with an eye for detail, short tempered with a tendency to argue) Likes • Having some alone time | Freedom of expression | Traveling | Seafood | Small groups of lions that she trusts Dislikes • Lying, Dishonesty | Optimists | Being the center of attention | Large insects, especially bees and wasps | Crying, thinks it is a sign of weakness History • Though a relatively young lioness, Kishi had to grow up fast to survive into adulthood. Her very first months were chaotic and almost abusive, with her parents constantly fighting. Her father Geza was immature, still just barely an adult when he started having cubs, and they were all by different females, which Kishi assumes was why they were fighting. Her mother felt used and although she had a sassy streak in her that had her always chasing young males, she invested a lot in Geza and would end up dying disappointed in what she got. Geza killed her, his viciously hot and explosive temper getting the better of him and he lashed out, hitting Ganya in the head with two strikes of his front paws, and Kishi watched her mother fall to the floor and not get up again. What happened next, Kishi could not say with exact detail as she was only about six months old. But Geza knew by killing his baby mama, he would probably be killed by the pride as punishment. So, he took the body out into the desert and he let the vultures and hyenas have it. However, someone snitched on him, watching him carry the body away only to return without it. Sure enough, when members of the pride were sent out in search of Ganya, who at this point was just considered "missing", it only took a few hours to find the bloody tracks Geza had left behind, tracing them back to his cave. He was immediately judged by the king for his actions. Ganya was one of the pride's best hunters and with food becoming scarce under Scar's reign, he had no sympathy for the male that took away his bread and butter like that. So he exiled the young male, who cursed and spat at him, putting on a good tough guy show before disappearing into the Outlands. He returned periodically to charm other lionesses into laying with him, and sometimes, he had the nerve to ask about his daughter, but that was only once he started aging and now, an older adult, he is growing more and more interested in her and her well-being, since she was his first born. But, even though they have met face to face, and for a while Kishi let the male talk to her like he was her dad, she has very little respect for him, knowing that he's been siring cubs all over the place. She does not feel special in his eyes and since he had no part in raising her, she figures he should have no part in watching her grow up either. But as a cub she had been Daddy's Little Princess. They played together and laughed together, on the outskirts of the territory of course but he still visited and she does love him for some reason, somewhere deep down, all she wants in life is her father. But he did kill her mother, and it's this that has her torn between supporting Zira, who is her aunt, Geza's sister, and Simba. When Scar ruled, everything was fine, Geza was even allowed on the territory grounds despite being technically banished. But when Scar fell, Simba came in and he takes exiles VERY seriously. Her father was chased out and so he and Kishi lost their ability to connect to one another. Does she miss her father? Yes. Would she ever admit it? Hell no. Instead, she puts on a mask of indifference, saying that her childhood wasn't a mess, it was just... life, there are lions out there who have it worse than she does, so she really tries to pretend that nothing bothers her and that she is alright. But she is very much not alright. Kishi is tormented by her bottled up emotions. They have taken a form that appears in her dreams and with voices in her head when she is not trying to sleep. She plays that scene of her father killing her mother over and over again, she hears and feels like somehow, it was her fault that her mother was killed in such a way, it was her fault that her father was banished, she is all mixed up and confused about past events and what she can do to move on in her life, but she is stuck. Zira and her cousins are her family and though Scar was the first one to banish her father, it was Simba who really brought the hammer down and forced a lonely little cub to see her father almost never really, having no tolerance with exiles. So she is torn between supporting her cousins and the lion who took away her father, or to stay loyal to the Circle of Life and to help chase Zira away. She is so confused. But you'd never know it by looking at her. Kishi is the oldest of Geza's children and was born when the male was pretty unreasonably young. So from a very young age, Kishi was alone, with no siblings until her brother was born almost a year later. All she really had was her father, her mother was very hands off with her. But Geza taught her to hunt and fight and, if she is honest with herself, she loved every minute of it. But she does not show it, she keeps her visits from her father a secret and won't tell anyone anything about it. She won't admit that she is happy to see him, she won't admit that she is having pretty severe mental and emotional problems, she won't admit anything about her feelings not just for her dad, but for life and the Circle of Life itself. She was raised by other Pridelander females, who were insistent on the concept of the circle, so she knows it and believes in it. But the more and more distant her father becomes, the more and more hatred builds up in her, mostly at Simba whose warriors are always chasing rogue lions away from the borders. It's a mess of emotions that Kishi just has no idea how to manage, and it comes out occasionally as an angry outburst. She shares her father's short temper. the FAMILY Father • Geza (Banished Pridelander, currently a Rogue, Playable) Mother • Ganya (Pridelander, Deceased) Siblings • One twin brother- Khalfani (Playable) Mate • None yet Offspring • None, she is actually infertile but does not know it yet Others • Zira (Aunt, Geza's sister), Nuka (Cousin), Vitani (Cousin), Kovu (considers him her cousin, even though his heritage is a little... weird) |
