Basic Appearance • Kanoni is best described as a perfect physical blend of her parents. She has her father's slender, elegant looking build with a more rounded face and broad shoulders inherited from Sarabi. She has a black "outsider" nose and almond-shaped haunting yellow eyes she also inherited from Scar while inheriting ear tufts like her mom but are black in color. Her fur color is a darker tan than Sarabi's, being a more tawny color with a reddish hue to it from Scar while her muzzle, underbelly, and paws are a lighter shade.

the personality

Personality • When it comes to personality, Kanoni seems to take more after her mother. She shares Sarabi’s dutifulness and level headed nature, usually being the calm and poised compared to most younger individuals. She is quite mature and independent for her age, typically being the voice of reason and one of the more responsible in the pride. Strangely, she does contrast in the fact that she is far more solitary and serious, preferring to be alone much of the time and comes off as quite solemn yet incredibly bright and cunning.

Despite this, she expresses no hurry to be a leader or becoming a Queen despite being taught in preparation for such a day due to her royal blood. She much prefers a less stressful life, often daydreaming of living in a land far from the Pridelands, a chance to start fresh from the drama life still throws at her.

History • Kanoni is the daughter of Scar, one of the many attempts for the now deceased tyrant to have an heir should something ever happen. In this case, she is a result of a forced union between Scar and Sarabi, disappointing her father of not being a male heir he had been hoping for but was nevertheless raised far better than most of the rest of the Pride.

Growing up in such dark times, Kanoni can count herself lucky like her other siblings. She was raised with greater care and attention, given more food when it was available along with her siblings to be strong and healthy. Like any royal, she was taught the ins and outs in preparation for being a potential Queen someday, which she turned her nose up at rather quickly with seeing the strain and stress it out on her father and then step-mother Zira. It was...stressful to say the least.  Kanoni preferred for spend her days alone or looking out for her siblings, learning to be the responsible one from a young age.

But, compared to most of the Pride she was one of the few who saw a more tender side from Scar, a more father-like side that to this day makes her still have a soft spot for him despite everything. Then came Simba. Like most others, she saw her golden half brother tear down everything her father has built and what she knew, but at the same time sending the hyenas packing. She never particularly liked the slobbering mongrels, having a few scars to prove her occasional conflict with them. And since that time, Kanoni has become far more solitary than she was in her cub years, becoming more distant from Sarabi and her “golden child”. 

Though she does not exactly hate her half -brother, she isn’t exactly jumping to be in support of him either, or Zira’s. As a teenager, where her allegiance will lie is anyone’s guess, but Zira’s words and her own experiences may yet have influence...
