The sun was high up in the sky, as they were well into the afternoon, the sun was beaming and the day was rather warm. It wasn't that much of a surprise. Warm days were welcoming in the afternoon and in the day time. Yet it wasn't the rainy season they still had a couple of months left before that happened. "I feel it my feet ache so much." He thought to himself. He knew complaining about it would get him no where. He knew he deserved the warrior training. He had gotten up early that morning and it had been worth it as he got to finish the things that were important things. Then he could go goof off and do what he wanted (Without causing that much mischief of course.)
Mheetu's paws ached as he walked across a grassy plain to see where he could rest himself and relax too. He knew that training was going to do him some good though. When Mheetu was a cub he felt like he was being bullied a lot and Scar always frowned upon the helpless scruffy cub. Well now that he had a chance Mheetu was actually given a chance to do things and have some fun in life. He'd never let anyone bully him again. The male saw that Hakuna Matata falls was doing great this time of the year as water gushed out with a mighty roar from above. Mheetu had been in awe of this place as he knew that one day he was sure he'd see a rainbow or something much more impressive in the sky.
"I never get tired of coming here. Even with my aching bones and muscles." He said as he placed his paws in the water feeling the relaxing sensation as they started to feel better. Water was a life source. It made him feel better already. The male got a quick drink of water before soothing his thirst. He then got out and began to clean his fur off before sitting on a rock. He knew that things would be relaxing here as he wanted a short nap. It wasn't long before he fell asleep against the cool rock he didn't realize that there were others nearby that might be watching him.
The sound of the waterfall was inviting to his ears as he heard the animals around him, as he was certain he heard gossip or even the rummaging and foraging for food from the plant eaters. Things were peaceful. Mheetu couldn't remember any peaceful days in his cub hood so he welcomed them greatly. Mheetu would've liked to forget his child hood and grow up into a strong adult. But he knew forgetting things like Scar would be dangerous as they were doomed to repeat themselves. The last thing that he wanted was another tyrant. He thought his brother in law Simba and sister Nala were doing just fine. So who knew what the future held for all of them? Hopefully it was a good one. Mheetu would like one day to have a family of his own and have a nice girl to settle down with.
