Iniko just returned with a bunch of weeds in her mouth or upon first glance that's what they looked like. they were all important medicine herbs that the lions had gathered up for the shamans. Iniko sighed she looked like she had been day dreaming that whole time as the sun was up from early mid day well after lunch time as the red lioness didn't want to be there. She'd rather be alone and left in her thoughts. All the other shamans looked down at her and didn't even give her a chance at trying to become a shaman or work very hard in it. She'd have to do it all herself in trying to please the other lionesses. One of the main head shamans came over and gently nodded towards her, "Good job Iniko your work for the day is done you can come back later to go over the herbs." The lioness said as Iniko nodded.
Iniko could think back at this and remember her days of becoming an apprentice shaman. Her mother and Scar had been very thrilled about the idea. Not only that, Amari had been hoping that it was a good idea too at the same time. So they could share the shaman practice and see each other while they were working on it. Iniko at first looked very excited but seeing how things were. She knew that she would have a shot at it, and the lioness would do great.
"Thank you ma'am." She said softly in a nod in return.
"If you feel up to it we can go over some of the herbs and what they do later." The golden lioness offered.
"I think that'd be a good idea I remember a good chunk of them. I know ginger helps with upset stomachs, cob webs help with healing injuries or even cleaning them, and alligator peppers are rather spicy to the taste." Iniko said in a hushed tone so the whole pride didn't hear her. The lioness nodded.
"You have been studying and paying attention that is a good thing. I wish you to take some rest for now and enjoy the day." The lioness said dismissing Iniko as she nodded back to her. She then went off into the grove to be left alone. Iniko didn't really have a reason to be down or anything. She just felt like everything and every once was against her. She sat on a nearby rock and began to bathe herself and take in the warmth. Her blue eyes looking up at the clouds or watching the area around her of all the animals that were there. With a flick of her tail she swatted it at a fly that was trying to land at it and being a nuisance. Finally it landed on her ears making them twitch and move gently to get it off as she rolled her eyes. "Just what I wanted to be bothered by some fly all day." She grumbled under her breath. Surely this wasn't going to be how she spent her whole day then?
